Álvaro Martínez Barrio
Alvaro is a seasoned computational biologist with more than 20 years of experience developing and commercializing innovative technologies. He was previously at 10x Genomics, where he served as Group Leader at the intersection of applications and product development. He and his group contributed to the development of numerous technologies, led multiple academic collaborations, and released significant datasets to support product commercialization.
Alvaro is a highly cited researcher, with more than 3,500 citations in prestigious journals. He frequently advises technology venture capitalists and investors. Alvaro earned his Doctorate in Bioinformatics at Uppsala University.
